# Integrations call error: Accounts of type 'ledger_account' only allow VAT when using unlocked VAT or with preset VAT

Accounts of type **ledger_account** only allow VAT when using unlocked VAT or with preset VAT in journals of type **purchase**.

**Solution**

This means that a VAT code can only be used for the general ledger account if **unlocked VAT** is enabled.
