# How to connect with Xero?

||| Please note that only the administrator (a user with an admin role in Klippa) of the Klippa account can set-up the connection with Xero.

1. Open the [Klippa Web App](http://app.klippa.com/) and go to **Settings** in the menu on the left and click on **Company** in the drop-down menu.

2. In the Company settings you will find several menu items. Click on **Company Settings / Connections**.

3. In the overview of connections, look for Xero on the bottom of the page and click on **connect**. You will now be redirected to the Xero login page.

4. Login with your Xero credentials

||| Warning: please use a Xero account that has the most extensive set of rights possible within Xero (e.g. to make financial mutations) to ensure a smooth functioning of the connection.

5. Grant access to Klippa SpendControl by clicking on **Allow Access for 30 minutes**. Klippa will appear in Xero under 'connected apps'.

The connection is now successfully established.

6. Please enter the default booking values. We will use these when we are unable make a smart booking value suggestion. We advise to select commonly used values here and save them.

7. If applicable, select the tracking categories for projects, cost units and/or cost centers.
